Join us and other Hall County Schools in a fundraiser to purchase raincoats for our School Resource Officers

2/13/23 Update: Our goal to raise enough funds to purchase 18 coats was not only met, but surpassed! The extra funds will be used to purchase coats for crossing-guards who are not part of the Sheriff’s Departments as well as a couple of spares for new hires. Thank you for your support and helping us keep our SRO’s dry and healthy during these rainy seasons!

While full length raincoats are not provided as part of the uniform by the Sheriff’s Department, it doesn’t give our officers a pass for traffic duty on rainy mornings and afternoons as our busses, staff, parents, and students depend on them to keep drop-offs and pick-ups running smoothly. We want to show our appreciation for these members of the HallCo family by participating in a district-wide fundraiser to purchase quality, department-approved raincoats for each of our 18 officers, with a couple extra for new hires.

The fundraiser will run from Monday, January 30th – Friday, February 10th. That’s only 2 weeks!

To participate, you can bring cash or a check written out to DMS to the front office or media center. There will also be collection boxes located at the parent pick-up portico during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
