Canvas is a digital platform that teachers and students use for daily instruction. Parents may wish to “observe” Canvas courses in order to stay informed on specific assignments and what their child is learning in each course. Scroll down for student and parent instructions.

In order for a parent to be an Observer of a Canvas course, there are 2 steps:

1. Students must create a pairing code for their parent(s). Students: click here to learn how to create a pairing code.

2. Parents must create a Parent Account in Canvas (if they don’t already have one).  See instructions below.

Once you have created a Parent Observer account, you can log in to Canvas anytime by visiting the Hall County Schools Parent Toolbox.
