4-H Club
4-H is a free club to join at your middle school. Please visit the 4-H website for dates, additional clubs and information.
Academic Team
6th, 7th & 8th grade students compete against other schools in Hall County in a competitive setting. This is a game of questions and answers on topics such as history, literature, and science. Students are exposed to a broad range of school and cultural subjects, memorization and study skills, and an improved ability to cooperate and work in teams. Competitions are played with a lockout buzzer system between two teams, consisting of five players each. For more information, you can contact Janet Hart.
Anchor Club
This club’s goal is to encourage the development of leadership, service, and friendship among peers with and without disabilities that creates a welcoming school and community atmosphere for all students. Activities may include socials, dances, group outings, group dinners, fundraising events and Special Olympics. Contact Lia Dale for more information.

Broadcasting Team
This group of 7th and 8th grade students write, film, edit, and broadcast our daily in-house school news channel, The Falcon News Network. They must show skills in creativity, problem solving, collaboration, and time management. Students can enter by applying for a position during the Spring Semester. Drama Club
This afterschool club produces one to two musicals each school year where students are tasked with memorizing scripts, learning the basics of stage acting and singing, learning choreography, and more. Students can enter Drama club by auditioning for a part in the musical or by applying for a stage crew position. Not all who audition or apply will be given a part. FCA
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Campus Ministry is a certified ministry that is initiated and led by student-athletes, sponsored by coaches, supported by staff. There are games, worship, and a message about Christ brought by a student leader or guest speaker. For more information, contact Delana Crandall.

Junior Beta Club

Odyssey of the Mind
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program. Sources of Strength
Sources of Strength is a group made up of students (Peer Leaders) and DMS staff (Adult Advisors) that focuses on increasing wellness and resiliency in our school. Peer Leaders work alongside our Adult Advisors to create positive, strength-based messaging to be given to our students, faculty, and the community through school-based lessons and videos to be used on the announcements and during Falcon Time, posters and other visual displays, and social media posts. Topics of campaigns include identifying trusted adults in our building, physical and mental health, generosity, and healthy activities.

Student Council
Student Council is an organization that represents the student body and instills a sense of citizenship and community service and promotes school community. Its members are selected by teacher nominations and interest and are assigned a specific committee to serve on. They work with the committee leader to accomplish tasks.
Tome Club
Tome Society is a book club for students in grades 2-12. Students in club chapters read and discuss great books, create items to enter in literacy-based competitions, and participate in virtual and in-person literacy events. For more information, contact Christa Holland.
