Davis Middle School Band Program! I am excited about the opportunity to teach and share music with your child throughout the year and the years to come. There is still time to sign up for 6th Grade Band! No prior musical experience required. If you are interested, please complete this <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfBOhVgPsph7FHbhYEqqrYMLnkIb_4UznTHo3DQq_8NJmtt_w\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">Google Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">6th Grade Band<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The focus of this ensemble is to teach all the beginning fundamental playing techniques, music reading, musical symbols and rhythm concepts to these students. This is a very exciting group as they are all really thrilled to begin learning how to play an instrument and how to be part of a team. Daily practice at home is a must for the student to begin to develop their full potential on their instrument and to extract maximum returns for the investment of time they spend in class and for the cost of the instrument.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">7th Grade Band<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The emphasis in this group is the continued understanding of all fundamental concepts learned in the sixth-grade band and the introduction to \u201cnext level\u201d concepts. These students will have several opportunities to showcase their individual talents and also the chance to work together as a team. I feel that our future is in these intermediate level students, so I work tirelessly to make sure that all ideas and concepts are understood and put into a practical setting for all students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">8th Grade Band<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Students in this ensemble perform music at an advanced level for middle school and instruction is tailored to their abilities. The focus of this class is to enhance the foundation of materials learned from the previous years in band and prepare them for high school band.
