2019 8th Grade Savannah Trip

October 23-25, 2019

– The purpose of this trip is to provide students with an educational opportunity to experience and learn about Georgia- both past and present.

– Approximate cost of the trip $420

         – 1st payment due Friday, August 30th ($200.00- non-refundable)

         -2nd payment due Tuesday, October 1st (balance due)

         – This includes

                – Day 1: lunch/dinner

                 – Day 2: breakfast/lunch/dinner

                – Day 3: breakfast/lunch

                 – Admission to all venues

                – Charter bus

                – Hotel room (4 students per room)

          -This does not including spending money for River Street.

-Requirements to attend:

           – Parents are required to attend one of the 2 parent meetings offered

                  – Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 at 6:30 in the DMS cafeteria

                  – Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 at 6:30 in the DMS cafeteria

            – Trip Report

            – Signed behavior contract

            – All trip paperwork turned in on time

            – All payments made by deadline

                    – In order to reserve your spot on the trip, you MUST have the 1st payment in no later than Friday, August 30th.

                    -This is a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit

Before we leave on this field trip, we want to make sure you get the most out of this trip.  To help with this, you are to research each of the following venues and create a Google slide summarizing what each venue is—the history/significance of this venue.  This must be done in your own words—no cut and paste from the website!
